This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said right-of-way in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary for the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee to replat the Lapham Park subdivision.
BODY:
Whereas, It has been proposed by the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee that the unimproved right-turn bypass at the Southwest corner of North 6th Street and West Brown Street and excess right-of-way of West Reservoir Avenue at the Northeast corner of North 7th Street and West Vine Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, The vacation of said right-of-way is necessary for replatting; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said right-of-way in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
