Analysis

This ordinance amends maximum allowable rates for meter fare taxicabs by increasing from $2.25 to $2.75 the rate for the first 1/10th mile ("flag drop") and decreasing from $0.25 to $0.21 the rate for each additional 1/10th mile.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 100-52-3-a-1 and 2 of the code is amended to read:

100-52. Rates Established.

3. METER FARE TAXICAB

a-1. The first 1/10 mile or fraction of a mile, for one or more persons, [[$2.25]]>>$2.75<<.

a-2. For each succeeding 1/10 mile or fraction of a mile, for one or more persons, [[$0.25]]>>$0.21<<.

Part 2. This ordinance takes effect on September 16, 2013.
