- Analysis -
Currently, map-reading training and testing of drivers who transport the handicapped and elderly is provided by the police department. This ordinance permits these drivers to successfully complete a program approved by the chief of police in lieu of police-department testing and training.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 100-54-2-d is renumbered 100-54-2-d-1.
Part 2. Section 100-54-2-d-2 of the code is created to read:
100-54. Driver's License.
2. QUALIFICATIONS AND APPLICATION.
d-2. Drivers of handicapped-elderly vehicles shall have successfully completed a program approved by the chief of police with respect to the requirements of par. e. or complied with testing provisions in par. e.
