Substitute ordinance to further amend the 1998 offices and positions in the City Service under control of the Common Council.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 1 of ordinance File Number 970831 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

Under "Department of Administration-Budget and Management Division", delete one position of "Economist/Statistician" and add one position of "City Economist."

Under "Department of Employee Relations, Operations Division", add footnote designation "(Y)" to one position of "Labor Negotiator."

Under "Health Department, Administration Decision Unit, Milwaukee Fetal Infant Mortality Review Grant", add one position of "Health Project Coordinator (X)" and add footnote "(M)" as follows: "To expire 9/30/99 unless the Milwaukee Fetal Infant Mortality Review Grant, available from the Black Health Coalition of Wisconsin, is extended."; under "Consumer Protection and Environmental Protection Decision Unit, Community Recreational Water Quality Assessment Grant", add one position of "Environmental Hygienist (X)"; and under "Bureau of Laboratories Decision Unit, Community Recreational Water Quality Assessment Grant", add one position of "Microbiologist II (.25 FTE)" and add footnote "(P) as follows: "To expire 9/30/00 unless the Community Recreational Water Quality Assessment Grant, available from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, is extended."

Under "Library, Secretarial Support Services, Administrative Services Division", delete one position of "Office Assistant II" and add one position of "Office Assistant III."

Under "Department of Public Works-Administrative Services Division, Technology Support Services", delete one position of "Network Supervisor" and add one position of "Telecommunications Analyst-Associate."
