Analysis
This substitute resolution authorizes the Health Department accept and fund the 2021-2023 National Initiative to Address COVID-19 Health Disparities Among Populations at High-Risk and Underserved, Including Racial and Ethnic Minority Populations and Rural Communities from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in the amount of $6,639,489 100% grantor share with no city match to address COVID-19-related health disparities and advance health equity by expanding MHD workforce capacity and services to prevent and control COVID-19 infection (or transmission) among populations at higher risk and that are underserved.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from Center for Disease Control (CDC) to address COVID-19-related health disparities and advance health equity by expanding MHD workforce capacity and services to prevent and control COVID-19 infection (or transmission) among populations at higher risk and that are underserved.; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 06.01.2021 to 05.31.2023 would cost $6,639,489 provided by the grantor 100% with no city match; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that acceptance of the grant from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
