Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Findorff allowing them to occupy the North 18^th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue.

Body

Whereas, Findorff has been contracted to install private utilities serving the Marquette University; and

Whereas, Findorff has requested to occupy North 18^th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue for a period of 30 days beginning May 25 through June 25, 2018; and

Whereas, Findorff will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure of the streets and the affected dates; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to Findorff, or associated subcontractor, allowing them to occupy North 18^th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue; and, be it

Further Resolved, That Findorff is also permitted to occupy the sidewalk areas on North 18^th Street between West Wells Street and West Wisconsin Avenue.
