This resolution authorizes the proper City Officials to execute the Subordination of Rights in Land agreement and Conveyances of Rights in Land agreement to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, in areas located along Interstate 94 East West Freeway from the Menomonee River to 32nd Street, in the 8th and 10th Aldermanic Districts.
Body
Whereas, The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) is undertaking a highway improvement project, DOT Project I.D. No. 1060-27-76, concerning improvements along Interstate 94 East West Early Grading from Menomonee River to 32nd Street, and in conjunction therewith, the DOT has requested that the City of Milwaukee provide Subordination of Rights in Land and Conveyance of Rights in Land, in defined areas within the improvement areas; and
Whereas, The areas where the DOT wants the City to grant the Subordination of Rights in Land and Conveyances of Rights in Land within Parcels 200 and 201 of Exhibit A, which the exhibit is part of this file; and
Whereas, The City obtained certain easement rights for public water facilities (water easements) by virtue of easement documents recorded in the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds as Document Nos. 1924872, 3248259 and 09082228 respectively within Parcels 200 and 201, where the water easements are located; and
Whereas, The City, by its Department of Public Works (DPW) with assistance from the City Attorney’s Office, negotiated the Subordination of Rights in Land and Conveyances of Rights in Land, that is part of this file to accomplish the DOT’s request; now, therefore, be it
