This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to install traffic control signals at the intersection of N. Water Street and E. Chicago Street.
BODY:
Whereas, This intersection has been identified as having limited gaps for pedestrian crossings during peak traffic periods and with the continued development of the area, the installation of a traffic signal has been requested; and
Whereas, The total estimated cost of this installation is $50,000 which was approved for this installation in our 1998 Capital Budget; and, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be and hereby is authorized and directed to install traffic control signals at the intersection of N. Water Street and E. Chicago Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized to create the appropriate subaccount for this installation as indicated:
