This resolution amends Common Council File 000711 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Well Women Health Initiative Grant to include the in-kind City share.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File 000711 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the well women Health Initiative Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services to expand the scope of the Wisconsin Women's Cancer Control Program beyond its focus of breast and cervical cancer screening to include health promotion and risk reduction for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, mental illness and domestic violence. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $65,692 and no City Share; and
Whereas, The City share for this program is increased from $0 City share to $16,442; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to establish the necessary City Share project values for the project titled Well Women Health Initiative; and, be it
Further Resolved, That all standard resolved clauses articulated in Common Council File 000711 remain applicable.
