Whereas, The Community Development Committee on July 31, 2001 approved the Funding Allocation Plan of activities and funding recommendations for funding year 2002; and
 
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for community development entitlement funding for year 2002 estimated at $32,183,000 (CDBG funds $23,000,000; HOME funds, $8,000,000; ESG funds, $783,000; and HOPWA funds, $400,000); now. therefore, be it
 
Resolved, That the authorization for the funding listed in the resolution is subject to the availability of the Year 2002 community development funding and the release of funds for this purpose by HUD; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Community Block Grant Administration is authorized to prepare and submit the Annual Action Plan for community development funding to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in accordance with the City's Strategic Plan and the Neighborhood Strategic Plans; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the Annual Action Plan funding amounts awarded to service providers be approved by the Community Development Committee and forwarded to the Common Council for review and approval prior to its final submission to HUD.
