This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into a Professional Services Agreement for the survey and evaluation of selected sanitary sewer systems.
BODY:
Whereas, Flow monitoring studies have been conducted in various sanitary sewer systems in the City of Milwaukee since 1994; and
Whereas, One of the objectives of flow monitoring studies is to identify systems that require a sewer system evaluation survey (SSES); and
Whereas, The flow monitoring studies that were performed in 1996 and 1997 identified five systems requiring SSES studies that have not yet been completed; and
Whereas, There are funds available in the Sewer Maintenance Fund 634001-0490-6831-0100 to conduct the SSES studies; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract for professional services to perform the sewer system evaluation survey studies of said five selected sanitary sewer systems; and, be it
Further Resolved, That money has been budgeted in the appropriate sewer maintenance fund.
