Title
Resolution relating to the design and use of official city business cards.
Analysis
This resolution updates the design and usage specifications for official city business cards, primarily to reflect changes in city government structure since the establishment of the mayoral "cabinet".
Body
Whereas, Business card design represents an important element of government communication by projecting a consistent character and image of the government unit to the public; and
 
Whereas, The design of business cards should be standard and present a clear identification of city officials and employes; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, That the official business cards for the city of Milwaukee shall meet the following design and usage specifications:
 
All cards shall be standard business card size, 2 inches high and 3 ½ inches wide, with the city seal in the upper left corner;
 
Cards for city elected officials, department heads and deputies, division heads within the department of public works, and all public officials, as defined in section 62.51, Wisconsin Statutes, shall be printed with the city seal reproduced in red, blue and gold, as described in attachment A to this file;
 
Cards for members of city boards and commissions, and other department division heads shall be printed with the city seal reproduced in blue PMS 286;
 
Cards for all other city employes authorized by their department heads to carry business cards shall be printed with the city seal reproduced in black; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That all city departments shall use the official city business cards as prescribed by this resolution; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That Resolution File Number 85-911 is rescinded.
