Title
Resolution approving levying of deferred sewer and water charges and essential services at various locations within the City of Milwaukee.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the levying of deferred sewer and water charges and essential services.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council approved the installation of the storm and sanitary sewers and water mains and to defer the special assessments for the properties until the properties are developed and applications for connections are made; and
Whereas, Essential services are repairs done by private contractors and billed to the property owners; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works receives several requests each year and the owners request that this charge be paid in accordance with Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper departments take such action as is required of them to assess the properties and collect such special assessment and essential service charges in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Neighborhood Services is hereby authorized to issue the necessary permits relating to the connection to the sewers and water main.
