Title
Substitute resolution approving an amendment to Law Enforcement Special Assignment Grant Agreement for the Bradley Center.
Analysis
This resolution amends the July 1, 2002 Law Enforcement Special Assignment Grant Agreement between the City of Milwaukee acting through its Chief of Police and the Bradley Center Sports and Entertainment Corporation ("Bradley Center"). Pursuant to that agreement, the Milwaukee Police Department ("MPD") provided two MPD officers for duty inside the Bradley Center for selected events. The term of the agreement was from October 1, 2001 to September 30, 2003 and the MPD officers were to be compensated at current overtime rates for top-paid police officers. The total payments to the City under that agreement were not to exceed $162,000. The amendment considered under this resolution extends the terms of the agreement from October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2005 and the not-to-exceed amount to be paid by the Bradley Center for the MPD officers' service remains at $162,000.
