- ANALYSIS - This resolution allows the Commissioner of Public Works to accept funds from a potential developer for engineering and design of public improvements needed to support a proposed industrial and residential development. The project will be located generally west of North 107th Street and south of West Brown Deer Road. Public improvements will consist of storm and sanitary sewer facilities, water main, paved roadway and related sidewalk, street trees and street lights. The estimated engineering cost to design these improvements is $290,200.


BODY:
Whereas, Towne Reality, Inc. desires to develop vacant lands located generally west of North 107th Street and south of West Brown Deer Road; and

Whereas, Development of these lands will require design and installation of certain public improvements including storm and sanitary sewer facilities, water main, paved roadway and related sidewalk, street trees, and street lights; and

Whereas, A Development Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and Towne will be negotiated to determine the sequencing of project implementation as well as how design and construction of the public improvements will be funded; and

Whereas, That Development Agreement has not yet been completed; and

Whereas, Towne desires to expedite design engineering for the public improvements and is willing to provide the initial funds for the required engineering work; and
