Title
Resolution directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a document titled “Cost Sharing Memorandum of Understanding Between the City of Milwaukee and the City of Wauwatosa” for non-participating real estate acquisition activities related to West Bluemound Road from North 106th Avenue to North 66th Avenue, which is being completed with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation State Highway Rehabilitation-Maintenance funding for the improvement of the roadway.
Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Wauwatosa for non-participating real estate acquisition activities related to the West Bluemound Road from North 106th Avenue to North 66th Avenue. The Memorandum of Understanding provides for 60 percent City of Milwaukee funding and 40 percent City of Wauwatosa funding of the non-participating real estate acquisition costs. The total estimated cost of this work is $164,650.00 with a City of Milwaukee share of $98,790 and a City of Wauwatosa share of $65,860.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested by the City of Milwaukee to be executed by the City of Wauwatosa for the non-participating costs of real estate acquisition on the Bluemound Road from North 106th Avenue to North 66th Avenue project with Federal aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation-Maintenance (SHRM) program; and
Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and be it
