Whereas, The Community and Economic Development Committee Fund supports initiatives that improve city public relations and foster community and economic development; and

Whereas, The first 9^th District Open for Business Conference took place on Thursday, November 16^th, 2023, at Ross Innovative Solutions; and

Whereas, The event connected small business owners and entrepreneurs with City departments and local vendors; and

Whereas, The event provided tools and development resources to small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, including seminars on writing business plans, marketing their businesses, and obtaining access to capital; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that up to $1,000 is appropriated from the 2023 Community and Economic Development Committee Fund Special Purpose Account No. 0001-1310-S123-006300 in support of the 9^th District Open for Business Conference.
