This resolution appropriates $1,204 from the 1998 Common Council Contingent Fund, Account Number 09- 910-8000, to the City Clerk's Special Purpose Account for City Memberships, Account Number 01-039- 8001, to fund a deficit due to increased costs for various memberships.
BODY:
Whereas, The 1998 City Budget included funding in the City Clerk's Special Purpose Account for City Memberships to cover membership fees in professional and governmental organizations for various city officials and staff; and
Whereas, The actual cost experience for memberships in 1998 to-date has exceeded the original allocation, due to increased costs for several memberships; and
Whereas, A Common Council Contingent Fund appropriation is necessary to provide funding for remaining unpaid memberships, including the Government Finance Officers Association and the International Foundation of Employee Benefits; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that $1,204 is appropriated from the 1998 Common Council Contingent Fund, Account Number 09- 910-8000, to the City Clerk's Special Purpose Account for City Memberships, Account Number 01-039-8001.
