Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said portion of alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary for the construction of the Finney Library.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that a portion of the east leg of alley in the block bounded by North 44th Street, West Lisbon Avenue, West Lloyd Street and North Sherman Boulevard be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portion of alley in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
