ANLS:
- ANALYSIS - This resolution authorizes the Department of Public Works to apply for, accept and fund a River Skimmer Grant project from the State of Wisconsin in the amount of $200,000 with a city share of $100,000 and a grantor share of up to $100,000. The purpose of the project is to fund the purchase of a river skimmer.


BODY:
Whereas, the Common Council has previously adopted file no. 970841 authorizing the Commissioner of Public Works to apply for a State of Wisconsin Waterways grant to fund the acquisition of a river skimmer; and

Whereas, The purchase of this river skimmer would cost $200,000 of which $100,000 (50%) would be provided by the city and up to $100,000 (50%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin is authorized and the Department of Public Works shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project/program titled

Account No. Account Amount 15-010-0100 Grantor Share $100,000 15-010-0101 In-kind City Share $100,000

2. Create a Special Revenue Fund - Grant and Aid Projects and the necessary expenditure and revenue accounts; appropriate to these accounts the amount required under the grant agreement and transfer the corresponding offsetting estimated revenue;

3. Establish the necessary grant performance submeasures; and, be it
