This resolution will dedicate City-owned land for public alley purposes north of East Idaho Street between South California Street and South Nevada Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee acquired a certain parcel of land, north of East Idaho Street between South California Street and South Nevada Street, by warranty deed dated April 27, 1922, recorded as Document Number 1143536 in Volume 936 Page 215 on May 2, 1922, known as "Captain Lance Peter Sijan Playfield"; and
Whereas, A portion of said parcel is paved with gravel and is being used for alley purposes; and
Whereas, An alley across said parcel of City-owned land is scheduled to be constructed as part of the 1999 paving program; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following described City-owned land hereby is set aside and dedicated for public alley purposes:
That part of Mann's Subdivision, a recorded subdivision, in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 9, Township 6 North, Range 22 East, described as follows: Commencing at a point in the south line of said subdivision, said point being the southwest corner of Lot 14 in Block 13 of said subdivision; thence Northerly, along the west line of Lot 14, to a point 20.00 feet north of, as measured normal to, said south line; thence Easterly, parallel to said south line, to a point lying 17.59 feet westerly of, as measured normal to, the east line of said subdivision; thence southeasterly to a point in said east line lying 2.41 feet north of, as measured normal to, the south line of said subdivision; thence Southerly, along said east line, to a point in sai...
