Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution to vacate said alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, to assemble land for future redevelopment in the Bronzeville redevelopment area.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that the North-South alley in the block bounded by West North Avenue, North 7th Street, West Garfield Avenue and North 8th Street, be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said alley in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
