Analysis

This resolution authorizes and directs the proper City Officers to execute sewer easement releases SER-235A and SER-235B located south of West State Street, from the west line of North 37^th Street to the alley west of North 37^th Street.

Body

Whereas, On October 7 and 13, 1931, the City of Milwaukee was granted sewer easements SE-235A and SE-235B located south of West State Street, from the west line of North 37^th Street to the alley west of North 37^th Street, being portions of Tax Key numbers 387-0501-000-2 and 387-9995-000-3 by Margaret Husey and Anna Elizabeth Adams; and

Whereas, The storm drain that was built in the easement has been removed and drainage handled through street catch basins; and

Whereas, The sewer easements no longer serve the interest of the City of Milwaukee and should be released; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute sewer easement releases SER-235A and SER-235B, copies of which are attached to the Common Council Resolution File Number

020162 and incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full; and, be it

Further Resolved, That after said easement releases have been executed by the proper City Officers, they shall be forwarded to the office of the City Attorney for approval as to form and execution and then to the Department of Public Works for recording and proper distribution.
