Analysis

This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a Quit Claim Deed (QCD-2872) document conveying the combined sewers located in the land bounded by West Walnut Street, North 12^th Street, and Interstate 43 to TJM Holdings LLC, in the 15^th Aldermanic District. The sewers are being conveyed because they are no longer needed for public use.

Body

Whereas, In 1965, the City of Milwaukee constructed 12-inch diameter combined sewers in the land bounded by West Walnut Street, North 12^th Street, and Interstate 43; and

Whereas, The land is now owned by TJM Holdings LLC; and

Whereas, The said sewers no longer serve the public interest; and

Whereas, TJM Holdings LLC has agreed to accept ownership of said sewers; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers, including the DPW Commissioner, are hereby authorized: (i) to sign the Quit Claim Deed document (QCD-2872), in the form and substance submitted to this file (or in substantially the same form and substance as submitted, and to effectuate the intent of this resolution); and (ii) to cause the same to be recorded in the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds Office.
