Title
Substitute resolution relating to reimbursement allowances for members of the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Council.
Analysis
This resolution makes members of the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Council eligible for the City’s standard reimbursement allowance by amending the resolution which established the advisory council.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File Number 240353, adopted July 30, 2024, created the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Council; and
Whereas, The resolution as adopted did not allow members of the advisory council to receive reimbursements related to their work on the committee; and
Whereas, It would be beneficial to the advisory council’s continued efforts to make its members eligible for reimbursement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the salary ordinance is amended to add the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Council to the list of bodies eligible for reimbursement under Part III, Section D; and, be it
Further Resolved, That Common Council File Number 240353 is amended so that immediately after the clause reading “Further Resolved, That the City Clerk’s Office shall provide staff support to the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Council, and be it”, the following clause is added:
“Further Resolved, That the members of the Granville-Havenwoods Advisory Council shall be eligible to receive the standard reimbursement under Part III, Section D of the Salary Ordinance; and, be it”.
