This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement to accept fill material at the South College Avenue Landfill from the Lynde & Harry Bradley Technical & Trade School construction site.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee owns a landfill located at 1701 East College Avenue and this landfill is currently being filled and covered so that it can be properly closed; and
Whereas, The new Lynde & Harry Bradley Technical & Trade School is currently being constructed and there is excess fill material which required proper disposal; and
Whereas, It would be in the best interest of the City of Milwaukee to dispose of this excess fill material at the South College Avenue Landfill; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee would not incur any part of the cost for the disposal of the excess fill material at the South College Avenue; and
Whereas, The attached agreement represents the duties and responsibilities of the parties to the agreement concerning the disposal of the fill material; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to execute the attached agreement for accepting the excess fill material from the Lynde & Harry Bradley Technical & Trade School construction site at the South College Avenue Landfill.
