Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the STD/HIV Prevention Training Grant project from the Centers for Disease Control through the Cincinnati Health Department in the amount of $40,756. The purpose of the project is for the Milwaukee Health Department STD/HIV Clinic to serve as a model training center for students and professionals enrolled in the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center in Cincinnati.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Centers for Disease Control through the Cincinnati Health Department for the Milwaukee Health Department STD/HIV Clinic to serve as a model training center for students and professionals enrolled in the STD/HIV Prevention Training Center in Cincinnati; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 04/01/02 to 03/31/03 would cost $40,756 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Cincinnati Health Department is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:

1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2002 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project titled STD/HIV Prevention Training Grant:
