This resolution amends the disposition of a vacant, tax deed lot.
BODY:
Whereas, On October 14, 1997, the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee approved Common Council File No. 970874, authorizing the sale of 3218 West Fairmount Avenue to the adjoining owners, Frieda Maddente and Leon J. Cox for the amount of $270 each; and
 
Whereas, The sales were not consummated due to the fact that Mr. Cox has not paid $270 for half of said lot; and
 
Whereas, The other adjoining owner, Frieda Maddente, has now offered to purchase the entire lot for $540; and
 
Whereas, This vacant, tax deed lot is being sold in an "as is" condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said lot to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Offer for the entire lot by Frieda Maddente is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lot and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700.
