Substitute resolution authorizing and directing the transfer of $4,000 from the Common Council Contingent Fund to the Common Council-City Clerk's Public Information account and authorizing the expenditure of such funds.

This resolution authorizes and directs the transfer of $4,000 from the Common Council Contingent Fund to the Common Council-City Clerk's Public Information account to replenish the funding of said account. The resolution further authorizes the Common Council- City Clerk's Office to expend the transferred funds.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council-City Clerk's Public Information account has been established to fund such items as special signage, professional photographic services and publication and mailing of special Common Council documents; and
Whereas, The 1997 City Budget provides $50,000 in the Public Information account; and
Whereas, This funding allocation has been substantially depleted by 2 large projects -- the publication and mailing of the "Dial for Action" telephone directory and publication of the "Milwaukee Report 1997-1998"; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer $4,000 from the Common Council Contingent Fund (account number 09-910-8000) to the Common Council-City Clerk's Public Information account (account number 01-031-8009); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Common Council-City Clerk's Office is authorized to expend the transferred funds in accordance with the purposes of the Public Information account.
