Analysis

This resolution authorizes settlement of the claim of SBC (25200404-50-0016) in the amount of $25,000.00.

Body

Whereas, The claimant, SBC (25200404-50-0016), has filed a claim against the City of Milwaukee in the amount of $53,187.87; and

Whereas, The City has agreed to settle this claim in the amount of $25,000.00; and

Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this claim; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $25,000.00, payable to the order of SBC, 2140 Davidson Road, 1^st Floor, Waukesha, WI 53186, in full and final payment of this claim, upon receipt of a Release of Claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to the Water Department Liability Account -006300 - Fund No. 0001 - Organization 6410 - Program 2631 - Subclass R643.
