Analysis
This resolution approves an amendment to the lease agreement the City entered into pursuant to Common Council Resolution File Number 971409, adopted on March 3, 1998, with Verizon Wireless (f/k/a PrimeCo Personal Communications) for the placement of personal communication services antennas at the Hawley Road Water Tower.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 971409 on March 3, 1998, approving a lease agreement between the City and Verizon Wireless (f/k/a PrimeCo Personal Communications) for the placement of personal communication services antennas at the Hawley Road Water Tower; and
Whereas, The Department of Administration has been working with the Water Works Division, the Police Department and the City Attorney's Office to amend the lease in order to address the annual rental payments and other matters; and
Whereas, The City and Verizon Wireless wish to reach a new agreement with respect to these issues; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves an amendment to the lease agreement with Verizon Wireless, a copy of which is attached to this file, and authorizes the proper City officials to enter into said lease agreement on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
