Resolution authorizing an amendment to a contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc.

Body
Whereas, on April 21, 2022, the Redevelopment Authority approved a resolution authorizing a contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., (“AECOM”), piggy backing off of the City of Milwaukee’s contract for environmental contracting and consulting services; and
Whereas, on May 1, 2022, the Redevelopment Authority entered into a contract with AECOM in an amount not to exceed $937,500.00. This contract is set to expire April 30, 2026, with one remaining one-year extension; and
Whereas, the projects conducted under the terms of the contract are determined by the individual needs of the Redevelopment Authority (on a case-by-case basis), available funding, and the fact that certain developers may prefer to conduct their own environmental investigations; and
Whereas, the projects conducted under the contract are predominantly funded by various sources of money including, but not limited to local, state and federal grant funds (e.g. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, United States Environmental Protection Agency); and
Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority has secured additional funding for environmental work at Century City; and
Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority desires to increase the total contract by $500,000, making the not to exceed amount of the contract $1,437,500; and now therefore be it
Resolved, By the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee that the proper officials of the Authority are authorized and directed to increase the amount of the AECOM contract to a total amount not to exceed $1,437,500.
