Analysis

This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and

Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:

3rd Aldermanic District

Cherry Street Bascule Bridge over the Milwaukee River (BR100040102) File Number 040586:  Deck repairs. (Bridge Construction Renovation Project Account -- $150,000)

4th Aldermanic District

N. Milwaukee St. - South line of E. Wisconsin Ave. to the north line of E. Wisconsin Ave. (SM495040125) File Number 040586:  Relay combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $350,000)

10th Aldermanic District

W. Trenton Pl. - N. Hawley Rd. to a point 800 feet m/l west of N. Hawley Rd. (SW172040105) File Number 040113:  Relay sanitary sewer. (Developer Sewer Fund -- $525,000)

12th and 14th Aldermanic Districts

Becher Street Bridge over the Kinnickinnic River (BR100040103) File Number 040586 :  Substructure repairs. (Bridge Construction Renovation Project Account -- $85,000)

; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
