Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $13,400 payable to Juliette Avery, c/o Bobbie Durrah, 3357 North 46th Street, Milwaukee, 53216, to reimburse her for property damage; and, be it
Further Resolved, That members have reviewed the records regarding the fire that originated at the adjacent property at 2607-09 North 36th Street, and have taken testimony from the claimant and City representatives. Based on testimony from claimants, members of the Committee felt morally responsible to reimburse the claimants for demolition charges of $13,400. This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118.
