Analysis

This resolution authorizes the acceptance of donated event space from Elks Lodge #46, valued at $200, for neighborhood meetings in the 9^th Aldermanic District.

Whereas, Neighborhood meetings allow constituents to take a more active role in shaping the trajectory of their community; and

Whereas, Neighborhood meetings provide valuable opportunities for community-building; and

Whereas, The hosting of neighborhood meetings requires an event space with sufficient room and accessibility; and

Whereas, Milwaukee Elks Lodge #46, located at 5555 W. Good Hope Road in the 9^th Aldermanic District, has offered the use of event space in its facility for neighborhood meetings; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Clerk is authorized to accept a donation of event space at Elks Lodge #46 valued at $200; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized to enter into any agreement necessary to effectuate the intent of this resolution.
