This resolution authorizes the sale of four vacant, tax deed lots owned by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, Ms. Cordelia Taylor has offered to purchase the vacant, tax deed lots located at 1206 and 1214 West Ring Street and 3257-59 and 3261 (part) North 12th Street, Tax Roll Key Nos. 283-0474-2, 283-0475-8, 283-0473-7 and 283-0472-1 (part), from the City of Milwaukee for the amount of $500 containing 10,625 square feet for construction of a single-family, owner-occupied home; and

Whereas, Ms. Taylor has submitted building and site plans that have been approved by the Department of City Development; and

Whereas, This sale is contingent upon the following:

1. Submittal of financial terms to complete the project as proposed.

2. Closing must occur within six (6) months from the date of adoption of this resolution.

3. Construction must commence no later than twelve (12) months from date of closing or properties will automatically revert back to the City of Milwaukee's ownership; and

Whereas, These vacant, tax deed lots are being sold in an "as is" condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said lots to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lots are declared surplus, said Offer is accepted, and the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required...
