Substitute resolution relative to the changing the title of an existing Port of Milwaukee capital account to properly reflect its intended use.
Body
Whereas, The 2005 adopted budget approved the $175,000 Port of Milwaukee capital account “Acquire and Rehabilitate KK River Site (PT180050400); and
Whereas, The Port originally requested this project under the title “Acquire and Rehabilitate KK River Site”; and
Whereas, It has always been intended for these funds to be used for improvements, including a capping, berm construction, and fencing of the Port’s Confined Disposal Facility; and
Whereas, The Port of Milwaukee can not charge costs associated with the Confined Disposal Facility to the Acquire and Rehabilitate KK River Site capital account since the existing account title does not accurately represent the work being performed; and
Whereas, The 2006 adopted budget corrects this issue going forward with the account titled “Confined Disposal Facility”; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the City Comptroller change the title of the 2005 capital account “Acquire and Rehabilitate KK River Site” (PT180050400) to “Confined Disposal Facility” so that the Port of Milwaukee can properly charge related costs associated with the project.
