This resolution authorizes sale of the north 8 feet of said property to the adjoining owner for driveway purposes and authorizes conveyance of the balance of said property to the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, On April 16, 1971, the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee leased the City-owned vacant lot located at 439 South 92nd Street from the City of Milwaukee, owner of record, to construct a scattered site housing unit; and
Whereas, The Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee has an occupied housing unit on this site and has no objection to sale of the north 8 feet to the adjoining property owner; and
Whereas, The adjoining owner, Carol M. Martin, 431-33 South 92nd Street, Tax Roll Key No. 416-1137-100-2, has submitted an Offer to Purchase the north 8 feet of this parcel from the City of Milwaukee for the amount of $0.25 per square foot for a purchase price of $156 for driveway purposes; and
Whereas, This land is being sold in "as is" condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of part of said lot to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other City-owned property pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to sell the north 8 feet of the City property at 439 South 92nd Street, Tax Roll Key No. 416-1136-110-4, to the adjoining owner at 431-33 South 92nd Street for driveway purposes for $156; and, be it
