Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute State/Municipal Agreements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the construction of Interstate Highway 43 North-South Freeway and Mitchell Interchange to Marquette Interchange On/Off Ramps. The State/Municipal Agreements provide for 60 percent Federal and State aid and 40 percent local cost sharing for parking, crosswalk markings, and utility costs. Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the construction of Interstate Highway 43 (IH-43) North-South Freeway; Mitchell Interchange to Marquette Interchange On/Off Ramps, with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and
