This resolution authorizes payment of the claim of American Concrete Pipe in the amount of $7, 500.00.

BODY:

Whereas, The claimant American Concrete Pipe has filed a claim against the City of Milwaukee in the amount of $20,481.88; and

Whereas, The claimant has agreed to settle the claim in the amount of $7,500.00; and

Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deem it expeditious and just to settle this claim; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $7,500.00, payable to the order of American Concrete Pipe, in full and final settlement of this claim, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, said amount to be charged to the Water Department Fund, Account No. 41-641-0-8003.
