Substitute resolution authorizing release of special charges from the property tax bill for the property located at 1704 East Park Place, City of Milwaukee pursuant to a stipulation with the property owner.
 
 
BODY      Whereas, The Common Council placed $26,636.00 on the tax bill for the property located at 1704 East Park Place, City of Milwaukee, tax key no. 315-0130-000-7 for the 1997 tax year due to the lack of payment by the property owner for the clean up of public nuisance conditions at the property; and whereas the owner has now contacted the City and made satisfactory arrangements for payment; and
Whereas, The arrangements include the giving of a mortgage to a mortgage lender who will not pay out the money for the mortgage until the special charges related to the nuisance clean up are resolved permanently; and
 
Whereas, The arrangements for payment will result in the funds not forth coming until certain mandatory rehabilitation at the property is completed, the City must first remove the special charges from the tax bill in order for the property owner's loan to close, now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the special charges placed on the property located at 1704 East Park Place, tax key no. 315-0130-000-7 in the amount of $26,636.00 plus the interest and penalties be removed from the property tax bill by the proper city officials upon confirmation from the City Attorney that satisfactory arrangements for payment have been made in writing to the City, and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That if the special charges relating to this property are removed from the tax bill and satisfactory arrangements are not made for payment that the proper city officials are directed to replace the amount on the tax bill for 1998.
