Maier Festival Park, and to make recommendations to the Common Council, the Mayor and the Board of Harbor Commissioners relating to an extension of the current lease agreement, or creation of a new lease agreement.

Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 990363, adopted on June 22, 1999, established a special committee to conduct lease negotiations with Milwaukee World Festivals, Inc. for a successor lease agreement for Henry W. Maier Festival Park, and to make recommendations to the Common Council, the Mayor and the Board of Harbor Commissioners relating to an extension of the current lease agreement, or creation of a new lease agreement; and

Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 001797, adopted on June 21, 2001, approved a 20-year lease agreement between the City of Milwaukee, Board of Harbor Commissioners and Milwaukee World Festivals, Inc.; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Common Council Resolution File Number 990363, adopted on June 22, 1999, establishing a special committee to conduct lease negotiations with Milwaukee World Festivals, Inc. for a successor lease agreement for Henry W. Maier Festival Park, and to make recommendations to the Common Council, the Mayor and the Board of Harbor Commissioners relating to an extension of the current lease agreement, or creation of a new lease agreement, is rescinded.
