Analysis

This resolution will change the name of Sonata Circle, a private road, to South Sonata Circle.

Body

Whereas, Sonata Circle, a private road internal to the Wilson Commons Senior Living Community located on the west side of South 13^th Street and north of West Bolivar Avenue, was named by Common Council Resolution File Number 020050, Adopted June 14, 2002; and

Whereas, A prefix of "South" is needed on the street name of Sonata Circle for addressing purposes for the benefit of emergency services and postal services; and

Whereas, Chapter 113-1 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances provides for the naming of private roads and will be complied with in that this road will be marked with brown street signs; and,

Whereas, As a condition of adopting this resolution, the Wilson Commons Senior Living Community is responsible for placing these brown street signs at their cost; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the private road name of Sonata Circle is hereby changed to South Sonata Circle.
