ANLS:

This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Public Library to apply for a Lifenet Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction in the amount of $89,608 with a city share of $14,608 and a grantor share of $75,000. The purpose of the project is to provide computer training for job seekers and adult learners.

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction; and

Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 01/01/99 to 12/31/99 would cost $89,608 of which $14,608(16%) would be provided by the city and $75,000(84%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is authorized.
