This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a one-year lease with the Greater Mitchell Street Association for the off-street parking lot located at 1740 South 12th Street. _________________________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has entered into a lease and lease extensions through August 31, 1997 with the Greater Mitchell Street Association for the off-street parking lot located at 1740 South 12th Street; and
Whereas, The Greater Mitchell Street Association has requested that this lease be renewed for a one-year term beginning on the first day of September 1997, under the same terms and conditions as the original lease and extensions, at a rental rate of Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($220.00) per month; and
Whereas, There is sufficient off-street public parking in this area, and no additional public parking needs have been identified for this lot; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized to enter into a one-year lease with the Greater Mitchell Street Association, beginning on the first day of September, 1997, and ending on the thirty-first day of August, 1998, with five one (1) year extensions permitted at the option of the City, for the off-street parking lot located at 1740 South 12th Street at the rental rate of Two Hundred Twenty Dollars ($220.00) per month.
