Analysis
This resolution amends a special privilege granted to Terrance L. Pitts, to place and maintain a covered walk in the public right-of-way adjacent to the property at 2031 West Capitol Drive by changing the name of the grantee of the special privilege to Pitts Mortuary.
Body
Whereas, Terrance L. Pitts was granted a special privilege under Common Council Resolution File Number 83-521, on July 29, 1983, to place and maintain a covered walk in the public right-of-way adjacent to the property at 2031 West Capitol Drive; and

Whereas, The current owner of the property is Antoinette Redd operating Pitts Mortuary and should now be named as the grantee of the special privilege; and

Whereas, Said covered walk may only legally occupy the public right-of-way by the granting of a special privilege resolution by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that Common Council Resolution File Number 83-521 is hereby rescinded; and, be it

Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that Pitts Mortuary, 2031 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, WI 53206, is hereby granted the following special privilege:

To keep and maintain a covered walk at the property known as 2031 West Capitol Drive. Said covered walk, 8 feet in width, is centered approximately 48 feet east of the eastline of North 21st Street and encroaches approximately 14.5 feet into the 16-foot wide sidewalk area on the south side of West Capitol Drive.
