This resolution amends the method of disposition for said properties by directing that they be sold to a nonprofit organization for affordable housing purposes.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File No. 960966, adopted on December 3, 1996, declared surplus and directed that the Department of City Development sell 1434-36 North 38th Street via the open listing method and no offers were received; and

Whereas, Common Council File No. 961715, adopted on March 21, 1997, declared surplus and directed that the Department of City Development sell 3069-71 North 28th Street via the open listing method and no offers were received; and

Whereas, Acts Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit corporation, has offered to purchase said properties for $200 each for affordable housing purposes; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to sell the surplus, improved, tax deed properties located at 1434-36 North 38th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 366-1722-2, and 3069-71 North 28th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 309-0141-X, to Acts Community Development Corporation at a fixed price of $200 each; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700; and, be it
