Analysis
This ordinance amends the suspension enforcement of the tall grass and weeds ordinance for the month of May by removing the annual registration requirement and instead requiring participants to display a sign identifying the property as participating in “no mow May.”
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 80-17-2.5-a of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
80-17. Turf Grass and Weeds.
2.5. EXCEPTIONS.
a. “No mow May.” The provisions of sub. 2 shall not apply during the month of May for any property owner participating in “no mow May.” A participating property owner shall provide signage identifying the property as a “no mow May” participant. Signage shall be displayed in a manner and location so as to be easily visible from the public sidewalk or roadway abutting the property.
