Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute State/Municipal Agreements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the construction of Interstate Highway 43 North-South Freeway; Halyard Street to Capitol Drive. The State/Municipal Agreements provide for 61 percent Federal and State aid and 39 percent local cost sharing for real estate acquisition and roadway costs, and for 90 percent Federal and State aid and 10 percent local cost sharing for utility costs. The total estimated cost of this project is $26,802,000 with an estimated City share of $2,576,310 and a grantor share of $24,225,690. Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the construction of Interstate Highway 43 (IH-43) North-South Freeway; Halyard Street to Capitol Drive, with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and
