Analysis
This resolution authorizes City officials to issue occupancy permits to JP Cullen and Sons Incorporated allowing them to occupy the entire right-of-way of West Chambers Street between North 51st Street and North 52nd Street for demolition activities.
Body
Whereas, JP Cullen and Sons Incorporated has been contracted for construction and demolition services at 5100 West Chambers Street; and
Whereas, JP Cullen and Sons Incorporated is requesting permission to occupy the entire right-of-way of West Chambers Street between North 51st Street and North 52nd Street on or around May 13, 2019 through July 31, 2019; and
Whereas, JP Cullen and Sons Incorporated will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right-of-way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue occupancy permits to JP Cullen and Sons Incorporated allowing them to occupy the entire right-of-way of West Chambers Street between North 51st Street and North 52nd Street to start on or about May 13, 2019 through July 31, 2019; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Commission of Public Works may approve additional or different dates to this proposed work.
